Posted on March 25, 2021 by History Goes Bump Posted in Haunted Location .

Thornewood Castle is located in Lakewood, Washington. The English Tudor/Gothic mansion is the only private castle on the West Coast and is known as the house that love built. The property and castle are so gorgeous that they have become a popular venue for weddings and have been featured in several films and series, including Stephen King’s “Rose Red.” Which makes us wonder, is the castle really haunted? The answer seems to be yes. Join us as we explore the history and hauntings of Thornewood Castle! The Moment in Oddity was suggested by Breanne Sanford and features William Cosper and lightning and This Month in History features the first liquid-fueled rocket launching successfully.

Rose Red is one of our favorite mini-series…written by Stephen King. Thornewood Manor is someplace my husband and i hope to visit one day. Thank you for doing a full episode on this beautiful, historic home.
I’ve been binge-listening your podcast, and I’m thoroughly addicted. You’re intelligent and engaging and I appreciate finding a podcast with female hosts my age! You two make my week, every week!
