Heard Opera House, Ep. 430

Posted on April 7, 2022 by History Goes Bump Posted in Haunted Location .

The Heard Opera House is located in Arcadia, Florida. This building has served a variety of purposes through the years from bank to theater to retail business. Artifacts, antiques and collectibles have come through. The history is murky for this spot, but something has caused there to be a lot of spiritual residue here. Is it all the years of ghost hunts that have been hosted here drawing spirits from other places? We joined a group paranormal investigation at this historic site and we are going to share the results of that on this episode! The Moment in Oddity was suggested by Chelsea Flowers and features Mithridates VI immunity to poison and This Month in History features Marian Anderson singing at the Lincoln Memorial. Our location was suggested by Paranormal Kicks Cancer, LLC.

The Capitol Theater, Ep. 123

Posted on May 9, 2016 by History Goes Bump Posted in Haunted Location .

Ep. 123 features the Capitol Theater in Salt Lake City! Theaters have always shared a special place in history. We crave to be entertained and many of us desire to entertain. Theaters are a place of strong emotions, both those played out by actors and those evoked in the audience. Paranormal activity feeds off of those kinds of emotions. The Capitol Theater was built in the center of Salt Lake City and has entertained Utahans for more than a hundred years. Tragedy has been a part of the Capitol Theater’s history as well and that has helped add to the theater’s reputation as being a haunted location. Join us as we explore the history and hauntings of the Capitol Theater! The Moment in Oddity is by Bob Sherfield and features the Spruce Goose and This Day in History is by Jessica Bell and features the birth of Belle Boyd. This location was suggested by listener Sue Story and the Research Assistant was Ren Davenport.
