Posted on April 2, 2026 by History Goes Bump Posted in Haunted Location .

The University of South Carolina in Columbia is said to be the flagship university of the state. This is the home of the Gamecocks and was established over 200 years ago. What started as a small college has become a large university with over 35,000 students. The university features beautiful architecture and poignant sculptures. It also has several ghost stories. Join us for the history and hauntings of the University of South Carolina. This Month in History features Doug Hegdahl blown overboard. Our location was suggested by Emily West.
